Not so much shitty tagging as it is just laziness, which is understandable when someone has a mass stockpile to upload.

Maggie: Fixing the tags is like only treating the symptoms of a disease, in the long run curing the disease would be more beneficial. It's not difficult to tag your images as you upload, there are other sites that manage to do this well enough. If it is too difficult for you to upload lots images while keeping them tagged, then simply do not upload lots images at once.

no point in partially fixing a persisting problem that grows back. if i was absolutely sure that going through all the images and tagging them correctly would get people to stop uploading images without tagging them correctly, i would do it, but haleboy666 is LITERALLY the only mass-uploader who EVEN TRIES nowadays, to tag his images, and he does a really good job.

if the person who uploaded a whopping 20% of the images on this site can tag all his images APPROPRIATELY, how hard would it be for the others? i can understand if your foreign or something, sporgasbored, but that still isnt an excuse to mass upload images without proper tags..

imagine this site physically. in the form of a cave network, each tag is its own chamber, each one being as big as the tag is common, each image being an event that happens to the viewer/viewer does unto the person getting raped in the image.

now, tentacle_rape would be the biggest chamber, but nobody wants to go to that chamber because they fear they will mostly get raped by something that turns them off. ofc, this happens regardless of the tag due to poor tagging, but it is most common because tentacle_rape is the lazy people tag.

i love this image, and thats another negative thing about people being lazy. i have to get raped by everything else to get raped by one of the things.

Niveous: Also, trying to get people to tag their images is never going to work. There will always be people who do not tag their images for different reasons. What is needed is a change in the code so that you are required to have at least three tags before the image is uploaded. That will not fix it entirely and people will still circumvent it because humans are like that, but it would be better than what is in place now.

Shinku: If I'd uploaded this, I wouldn't have put oviposition either. It's not a tag I really care much about and wouldn't be able to identify it even if I saw it in a picture.

Maybe "spread_legs" or "legs_spread", but that's it. I'm not into all the fetishes or fully versed in all the terms myself.

Maggie: Tagging is simple you just put whatever is in the image so it's easier to find it, I've tagged this image for now.

SmittyWerbenjagermanjensen: I would add my two cents, but everything I agree with has been stated already. There's a few images in particular I end up seeing once, but have been unable to find them again due to poor tagging.

IMAZOMBIE_358: @shinku would you have uploaded this? also, whether your sure or unsure of what the image contains/is related to, you should ALWAYS check the tags from the place you got it, for many reasons.

Shinku: If I had the image, probably I would have. I have lots of images I've not seen on this site that I could upload, but am too lazy to. I hardly upload images directly from other sites. They're from my computer which have been saved there since a long time ago.
