That would be grim, and I am not into grim. This is plainly some sort of sloppily run clone vat system where an organic soup and some bones are turned into beautiful young clone-women as trade items between two interstellar tentacle monster empires. Bones on the floor is simply a sign that some creature is slacking on Q&A, and will be fired.
