Linnea: There's no logic in leaving her alone and free, she might harm the eggs even inadvertently. Far better to take her away to somewhere safe and secluded, keeping her safe, bound and suitably.. distracted.
Of course once they have a suitable warm womb to deposit their eggs, there's no reason to ever let her go either.
