Hanky-Spanky: Day 23: Test results so far have been ...uhhhhh... inconclusive. Suggest petitioning the board ...uhhhh... for more time to continue ...uhhhhh... experimentation. More specimens may be ...uhhhhh... required to gather enough data for ...uhhhhh... an accurate hypothesis.
Whitebeard: Maybe to prevent so many reposts, this site could use something similar to what google uses for image similarity recognition. Then, when someone posts a picture, if it is an outright repost, it will do the same thing that it has done, but if it is similar, it will display all of the similar images and have the poster look through them to ensure that it is not a repost. I'm only commenting on this post because it is the most recent.
Lone_Wolf236: Exactly what i was thinking Whitebeard! :)
It would require to allow google to index all the images on the site, and everytime an image would be uploaded here, TR's server would search for a duplicate on google images, specifying TR to filter results... I hope i'm clear :S
Lone_Wolf236: We could allow higher res images to repleace lower res ones. Also, google images can search for BOTH similar and EXACT images (putting aside their resolution)
