Day of the Tentacle: might have meant something twenty years ago, all he has done since though is go utterly insane and molest children.

keren_sky: I thought he was acquitted? But then again justice seems to be more a matter of hiring a good lawyer than of whether one is innocent or guilty.

Wulf: It was certainly a spectacular fall from grace. He made it to the top, did jacko. Shame that old maxim had to come into play. He had a lot of talent, back in his day.

It still means something to his fans. He has never been concivted, and I for one am not entirely convinced that he ever did molest any children.

Day of the Tentacle: Indeed so. He was acquitted, but legal consensus was that he did it. Problem was, prosecution got too cocky, they had several genuine cases, but went over the top, and had multiple people testify, one of those testimonies proved to be false, unknown to the prosecution, and so as soon as that came about, the jury didn't believe the true cases either. Had they brought less evidence, he would have been prosecuted successfully, is the popular opinion. As it is, death is the best for his career, he would only have gone to prison in future, had he lived, with debts of up to $500 million.

Wulf: I am pretty sure he could have easily made that money back. I mean, the planned shows in the UK sold out in a matter of minutes. You're right though, when you say that death was probably the best thing for his career. I just can't see him doing the moves he was famous for, considering the state he was in. Not sure about the strength of his voice either. Most likely he would have just ruined his legacy in a desperate attempt to shore up his mounting debt. He would still make the money that he needed, fans would pay just to see him, but at an unfortunate cost to his already tainted reputation.

As for the case against him, I will take your word for it, in regards to the facts. Though terms like 'legal consensus' and 'the popular opinion' don't inspire much confidence. Something about the whole affair has always made me feel uncomfortable and suspicious, and I remain skeptical about his assumed guilt.

nevena: he also said in an interview that he isnt sure that he could do the shows/has enough stamina for it..... and no insurance company wanted to help/cover him... and the organisator of his has an 350 miljon debt because the shows were cancld due iis death.
