WankandSticky: I love that the banner ads are trying to come off as crazy hardcore...on a tentacle site. It's like a puppy trying scare Jason Vorhees. Cute.
Desert_Wolf_3: I'm using firefox and on an instillation without an add blocking program and o__O I ain't seen a single banner add. Sounds like there may be a mallware issue involved.
karma: Hi guys, to clear up any confusion, it says this below both of the ads:
You can turn off the ads by registering and logging in! Hosting is expensive, find out how to donate here!
So the reason you're not seeing them is because you're logged in. Log out, and you'll see them.
We'd really appreciate it if our non-logged in users would either not use or make an exception for this site in their ad blocking software as the ads do help pay the hosting bill.
Or, better yet, you can become a registered member and help grow the community!
Additionally, it's important for you to know that no single anti-malware solution is sufficient for the average windows user. A good security strategy employs the use of at least two or three anti-malware packages and at least one anti-virus. The average anti-malware product covers only about 60% of current threats. Turn off background scanning to save resources but perform a full system scan monthly for maximum coverage.
Desert_Wolf_3: Malwayre bytes with spybot search and destroy seems to cover about 90% of malicious software problems. We are both a tentacle porn site here And a tech help desk! :D
WankandSticky: Those crafty sons of... yeah it was malware that put banner ads on sites in the typical banner placement so I never noticed. Sorry to scare you Karma!
